Dr. Bastani completed his Ph.D.  Civil and Environmental Engineering at UC-Davis in 2019. He was a member of Dr. Harter’s research group since 2017, where he worked on developing simulation tools for modeling nitrate transport in large groundwater basins. Prior to 2017, he had worked on reactive groundwater transport modeling with Dr. Tim Ginn. Dr. Bastani had received his Master’s degree from Shiraz University, Iran in hydrogeological studies and modeling of seawater intrusion. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Tehran, Iran, in Soil and Water Engineering.
